The only writing I can find on the gun is on the top of the barrel ( made by Remington under Browning patents, and it lists the patent numbers. shotgun completely refinished by a very competent gunsmith following my Dad's death. They said the serial number was on the left side of the receiver. I wrote Remington with a partial serial number, 5 digits, found on the loading lever. I have my Dad's Remington A-5 (Model 11).
